Remote · India Internship Commission-based

You book the meeting. We close it. You earn on it for a year.

Business Development Intern at KalpSetu, a trade intelligence platform for Indian exporters. You would be the first person other than the founder doing outreach.

What you would actually do

Find the right person. Get the meeting. That is the whole job.

You find and contact people who export out of India: exporters, trading houses, commission agents, procurement heads. You research them, find a real decision maker and a working phone or email, reach out, and book a meeting.

You do not sell. You do not quote prices or negotiate. The founder takes every meeting and closes it. Your job ends at a booked meeting with the right person, which is a real skill and the entire reason this role exists.

What you get paid

Three parts, and all three are exact.

₹2,000
A month, if you hit the bar below
An operating floor, not a salary. Be clear with yourself about that before applying.
₹750
Per qualified meeting that actually happens
Up to 8 a month. Qualified means decision level, in our market, and they turned up.
10–15%
Of every rupee we collect, for 12 months
Not a bounty on an introduction. You are paid the month after we are paid, and it keeps coming for as long as that customer stays. Move the slider and see the maths →
The monthly bar

What the ₹2,000 is for.

Roughly four records and two messages per working day. Everything is logged in the CRM, so it is checked by a query and never by argument. The engagement runs month to month and renews on that bar. We would rather tell you the standard up front than let you find out at the end of a month.

Is this you

This suits you if

You want to learn how export trade actually works from the inside, you are comfortable writing to strangers, and you would rather be measured than managed. Prior sales experience is not required. Being organised is.

This does not suit you if

You need a predictable monthly income. The stipend is small on purpose, the commission is where the money is, and commission takes time to arrive. If you need reliable pay this month, this is the wrong role.

What stage this is

You would be joining early, and that cuts both ways. The product is live and has been for months, the company is incorporated in India and DPIIT recognised, and twenty-eight automated data pipelines run every day. The customer list is what we are building now, and your commission is tied to it. That means the upside is uncapped and it is not immediate. Worth weighing before you apply rather than after.
