Documents and registrations
- IEC
- APEDA e-RCMC
- APEDA e-RCMC is required for APEDA scheduled agricultural products
- export certificates for Vietnam must be endorsed prior to the shipping date
- Vietnam applies specialized inspections including food safety inspection
- quarantine inspection
- and quality inspection at entry for imported food and agricultural products
- certain products require import permit and product registration before import
- commercial invoice
- packing list
- bill of lading
- certificate of origin
- phytosanitary certificate where applicable
- health/veterinary certificate where applicable
- Vietnam import permit where applicable
- import dossier/registration documents where applicable
Where to get them: IEC: Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Government of India; RCMC: APEDA via the DGFT e-RCMC portal; import permit/registration for Vietnam: Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) or the relevant Vietnamese specialized authority; inspection on arrival: Vietnamese border control/specialized inspection authority under MARD or the competent line ministry; export certificate endorsement for Vietnam: APEDA/issuing Indian certification authority before shipment
The main failure point is usually incomplete Vietnam-side pre-clearance: the wrong product class can trigger import-permit, registration, or specialized inspection steps that were not arranged before shipment. The other common problem is document timing, especially certificates that must be endorsed before the bill of lading date and labels that must be in Vietnamese and fully compliant.

What this page does not know
- Freight and port costs for your shipment. Carrier rates are not connected yet, so we do not print a freight number here. Put your own quotes into the landed cost calculator; it fills in this duty.
- Your buyer's price. The mandi price is what groundnut costs inside India.
